An epoxy perimeter sealant is screen-printed on the glass
substrate and then two plates are assembled together with a registration accuracy of ±3
µm. Tiny spacer particles deposited on the glass substrate maintain a precise cell gap of
approximately 5 µm between the glass substrates. Heat and pressure are applied to the
assembled plates while the epoxy cures.
